Overview
Fixed Term / Full Time position in Nowra.
Salary: $511 - $1,265 gross per week, plus 12% Super.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Location: Nowra Administration Building, 36 Bridge Road, Nowra.

About the Role
This role will assist in providing for the protection, promotion and improvement of the environment and public health of the Shoalhaven community.
You will have a general awareness of community health and environmental issues and be eligible to undertake tertiary qualifications in a Bachelor of Natural Science majoring in Environmental Health at the University of Western Sydney via an external studies program.
This position is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, based at the Nowra Administration Building.
Reporting directly to the Senior Environmental Health Officer, the focus of this position is to:
- To assist in providing for the protection, promotion and improvement of the environment and public health and safety of the community by:
- administering and enforcing the Acts and Regulations under various legislation and Council policies; and
- working cooperatively with other Council divisions and state agencies to achieve improved environmental and public health outcomes.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Eligible to undertake tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Health at University of Western Sydney (Hawkesbury Campus).
Applicants that are currently undertaking the course may be considered but must have a minimum of three years remaining to complete the course on an external basis.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
