The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Bike Technician & Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining workshop work, customer service, and rental operations.
You’ll be working across:
* Bike servicing and repairs
* Sales (helping customers choose the right bike)
* Managing and preparing rental bikes
* General shop operations
This is not a purely workshop role — we’re after someone confident dealing with customers as well as working on bikes.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service and repair bikes (primarily e-bikes, plus standard bikes)
* Assemble new bikes and prepare for sale
* Assist customers with sales enquiries and product recommendations
* Manage rental bookings, handovers and returns
* Ensure rental fleet is maintained and ready for use
* Keep the workshop and shop floor organised and running smoothly
* Provide a high level of customer service at all times
About You
* Proven experience as a bike mechanic/technician (essential)
* Experience in a retail or customer-facing sales role (essential)
* Confident speaking with customers and recommending products
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Able to work independently and take initiative
* Reliable, organised, and a team player
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience working with e-bikes
* Experience in bike rentals or hire operations
* Knowledge of e-bike systems (motors, batteries, controllers)
* Passion for cycling and outdoor lifestyle

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
