Underwriter – Personal Injury – Multiple Location
The primary purpose of this role is to underwrite business (broker or direct) in accordance with Allianz Underwriting Framework and Strategy, within delegated authority levels, providing quotations to achieve targets for new business and renewals while considering customer needs.
Responsibilities
* Effectively manage workflows (new business, renewals, arrears, etc.) to ensure delivery of quality underwriting and service.
* Ensure underwritten policies meet all compliance and portfolio requirements.
* Manage relationships across a designated portfolio, focusing on underwriting within delegated authority limits.
* Anticipate and provide solutions to customers' needs from available information to design sustainable responses to suit their circumstances.
* Maximise retention of preferred accounts and ensure timely review of renewal business in conjunction with internal stakeholders through strategy meetings.
Qualifications
* Experience in an underwriting or broking role and familiarity with the workers' compensation environment.
* Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
* Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high‐quality services and positive customer experiences.
* Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgement and solutions.
* High attention to detail: complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
* Passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
