Job Title: Senior Texture Artist
Role Summary
The Senior Texture Artist will be responsible for creating high-quality textures, colors, and organic surface qualities for computer-generated (CG) creatures and hard-surface models in production.
This includes working independently and with the production team to implement the desired look of complicated models.
1. Implementing advanced texture techniques for CG models, including complex creatures and/or hard surface models, such as ships, real-world vehicles, and environments.
2. Collaborating with the production team to determine design solutions and providing feedback through regular attendance at production meetings.
3. Mentoring junior and mid-level artists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of five years of relevant professional VFX experience and a college-level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or a related field; OR at least seven years of relevant professional VFX experience in lieu of education.
* Proficiency in Maya, Mari, ZBrush, Photoshop, and UV unwrapping tools.
* The ability to navigate complex pipelines and work efficiently under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* The ability to learn quickly and assimilate new information.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of modeling, grooming, and look development is a plus. Experience with Katana and Houdini is also an advantage.
