Salary: $70-$85 per hour + Super + Benefits

About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Underground Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of underground mobile mining equipment to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain underground diesel equipment, including loaders, trucks, drills, and ancillary machinery.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operational teams to ensure production targets are met.
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to site safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- Underground mining or UG OEM background for breakdown fitters.
- Workshop fitters can come from open-cut mining, agriculture, or heavy road transport backgrounds.
- Experience working with underground mining equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an underground setting.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with mine site regulations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
