As a Maintenance Fitter working closely with the maintenance team preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory, you will analyse performance issues, develop, and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency.
Being an expert, you will fault find and troubleshoot limiting downtime to improve the operational effectiveness of the factory. Whilst ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard while ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor based in Ingleburn, you will be open to work a scheduled day shift undertaking mechanical repairs and maintenance of an insulation product factory, possible additional overtime required as per operational demand.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to all the site WHSE policies and procedures ensuring the undertake work safely and with mínimal impact to the environment.
What you will bring
- Previous progressive experience in a similar role
- Must hold qualifications as an accredited fitter
- Experience with fault find and troubleshooting on maintenance equipment
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery
- Previous experience and understanding of process/quality improvement practices.
- Computer skills including the ability to prepare information in the SAP system (Basic entering can be taught)
- Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and quality needs to meet customer needs
