Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements as necessary.
* Maintain gardens and outdoor spaces, including mowing, pruning and other gardening duties.
* Coordinate with contractors and provide guidance to team members and volunteers as required.
* Monitor and maintain scheduled maintenance plans using our asset management system.
* Ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff by identifying and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A trade qualification (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
* Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to acquire with one month of employment.
* Experience in property maintenance, preferably in aged care or community housing.
* The ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
* A can-do attitude and genuine care for others.
* A valid driver's licence and relevant checks (Police Clearance) or the ability to obtain them.
