A Practice That Invests In You As Much As Its Patients
At Mulgrave Dental Group, we've built something genuinely different — a practice where the Treatment Coordinator is recognised as one of the most important roles in the building. Where your contribution is visible, appreciated, and rewarded. Where the tools, the team, and the culture are working with you, not around you.
If you've spent years performing above the level your current practice recognises, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Our growth has been deliberate. We do not pursue volume — we pursue excellence. That distinction matters, because it shapes everything about how we hire, how we operate, and how we treat the people who place their trust in us.
Our practice is founded on six core values that define not just what we do, but who we are:
* Compassion We treat every patient as an individual, not a case number
* Positive Attitude We bring energy and optimism to every interaction
* Patient Experience Passion We are relentless in our pursuit of outstanding care
* Professionalism We hold ourselves to a standard others aspire to
* Integrity We do what is right, even when no one is watching
* Accountability We take ownership — of outcomes, of errors, of growth
These values are the lens through which we make every hiring decision. They are the standard against which every team member is measured — including the person we are seeking now.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our front-of-house team. This is a senior appointment, and it will be filled accordingly.
The Treatment Coordinator at Mulgrave Dental Group occupies a pivotal position. You are the bridge between clinical excellence and patient confidence — the professional who takes a complex treatment plan and transforms it into a clear, compelling, and compassionate conversation that moves people to act in their own best interest.
This is not a reception role with an elevated title. This is a specialist function that demands a specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full patient journey from initial enquiry through to treatment acceptance, ensuring a consistent and exceptional experience at every touchpoint
Conduct professional, empathetic treatment consultations for high-value cases including implants, full-arch rehabilitation, and cosmetic dentistry
Present investment figures, payment options, and health fund entitlements with clarity, confidence, and transparency
Partner with the clinical team to ensure treatment plans are communicated in plain language that patients genuinely understand and trust
Identify and resolve patient concerns — financial, clinical, or emotional — that stand between a recommendation and a decision
Maintain accurate patient records and follow up on outstanding treatment plans with professionalism and care
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of patient experience systems and front-of-house protocols
What We Require
Minimum three years' experience in a dental treatment coordinator or senior dental reception role within a high-quality Melbourne practice
Demonstrated ability to present and convert complex, high-value treatment plans
Sophisticated communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
Confidence navigating health fund structures, payment plans, and cost conversations
Proficiency with practice management software
An unwavering commitment to patient welfare and professional standards
Highly Regarded
Experience in implant, prosthodontic, or cosmetic-focused practices
Exposure to patient financing platforms
A measurable track record of improving treatment acceptance rates
What We Offer
Remuneration commensurate with your experience and contribution — we do not offer industry-average compensation for above-average talent
A clinical environment that makes your role easier: exceptional dentists, modern technology, and an in-house laboratory that gives patients — and your consultations — a genuine point of difference
A practice culture that lives its values, not merely states them
Professional development and genuine career progression as the practice grows
Leadership team that respects the Treatment Coordinator as a strategic contributor, not a support function
