Overview
Our client is a global leader in the building and industrial services sector, working with commercial, residential, and infrastructure customers across Australia and New Zealand, with a reputation for blending technology, sustainability, and customer service to deliver high-performance solutions. They are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join their established procurement team in Sydney.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across key direct spend categories, driving value through market insights, supplier optimisation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Manage end-to-end sourcing projects, implement supplier agreements, and own supplier performance to ensure delivery against commercial objectives.
Act as a key link between local and global procurement, align strategies, embed best practices, and improve category policies and processes.
Report on savings, project milestones, and supplier performance across the portfolio, with a strong focus on delivering commercial outcomes.
What we are looking for
Procurement Category Manager with direct or indirect experience who puts the customer at the centre of everything they do.
Thrives in a fast-changing environment with an impressive track record of developing category strategies to deliver value on business and customer outcomes.
Confident communicator who can influence at senior leadership level and collaborate with diverse teams; able to challenge the norm when needed.
