Process Control Engineer Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Process Control Engineer to join our team at the KCGM Operation. The selected candidate will work on a 5/2, 4/3 roster and be responsible for providing operational support and maintenance for process control systems at the Fimiston Plant, Gidji Plant, and Kalgoorlie Air Monitoring Network (KAMN) air quality stations.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in process control engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving end-user Operational Technology System issues, supporting the development and continuous improvement of Operational Technologies Systems, and building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers of hardware, software, and support services.
You will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide operational support and maintenance for process control systems at the Fimiston Plant, Gidji Plant, and Kalgoorlie Air Monitoring Network (KAMN) air quality stations.
* Support the development and continuous improvement of Operational Technologies Systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve end-user Operational Technology System issues.
* Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers of hardware, software, and support services.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* Minimum two years' experience in a similar role with strong technical aptitude.
* Excellent process analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
* Keen technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Demonstrated ability to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Solid understanding of process control fundamentals and advanced control concepts, with excellent process analysis capabilities.
* Strong knowledge of mineral processing unit operations.
* Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
* Instrument installation and calibration experience.
* Understanding of computer server hardware and Windows operating systems.
* Understanding of industrial Ethernet and data communication networks.
* Additional training in DCS and advanced control techniques, network administration, and Windows Server/Domain Administration.
