About the role
The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician is a key member of the multidisciplinary team providing mental health care to children, adolescent and their families/carers in the Orange area. The position promotes the mental health and wellbeing of Aboriginal families and the wider community and where possible works in a holistic way to prevent the development of mental health problems.
This role sits within the Infant Child Youth & Family (ICYF) mental health services which operate from Bloomfield Hospital, Orange. The Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health team is a multidisciplinary team working with young people up to age 18 with mental health challenges that are having a significant impact on their daily life. ICYF consists of services ranging from early intervention through to acute services. The Team partners with a range of health Services and other agencies who may include Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities & Justice, Headspace and other Government and non-Government agencies across the area.
This position is Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5pm, not working public holidays. Monthly ADOs are available for full time staff.
