Your opportunity

As an Audiometrist, you'll assess the auditory problems of non-complex clients and provide appropriate rehabilitation. The role operates independently but with support, guidance and training from senior clinicians. Here's how you'll do it:

* Assess the auditory problems of voucher adult clients in accordance with conventional established practice, methods and standards and provide appropriate rehabilitative support including counselling of clients and fitting hearing aids, accessories or communication strategies as appropriate
* Provide reports to referral sources
* Refer clients to other professionals or seek guidance from Senior Audiologists whenever further expertise and knowledge is required
* Participate in providing services at visiting sites and home visits
* Effective management of own caseload
* Undertake manual and computer-based administrative tasks associated with clinical work
* Liaise with client support groups, referral sources and other agencies dealing with people with hearing impairments
* Undertake marketing/public relations activities in the community as required

What You'll Bring

We believe the successful candidate will thrive in a client-centred environment where they can provide exceptional and friendly service in conjunction with managing complex medical administration. You'll bring:

* Certificate IV in Audiometry
* Member of Approved Professional Body
* Clinical examination passed as set by Approved Professional Body
* Sound knowledge of Audiometry theory and practice required for adult voucher clinical work and the ability to apply it
* Sound knowledge of OHS Voucher Program and ability to apply this
* Willingness to travel to other locations for clinical work and marketing activities
* Continued development and updating of skills encouraged
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Driver's Licence desirable
