Payroll Officer
South Yarra, Melbourne VIC.Full time.Work Arrangement: Work from office 5 days per week.
At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional childcare services throughout Melbourne and its surroundings. Established in Victoria in 2017, we currently have 28 operational services and a pipeline of 40 centres to be rolled out over the next three years across Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales.
About You
* Minimum 3 years experience working in similar payroll roles, including end-to-end payroll for 1000 plus employees
* Experience using Employment Hero or similar software
* Strong understanding of WorkCover processes and obligations
* Ability to consistently meet regular deadlines and manage time effectively
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
* Ability to communicate proactively and work collaboratively with the Payroll Team, Accounts Team, and Centre staff
Responsibilities
* Processing payroll transactions efficiently on a fortnightly or monthly basis for a team of 1000+ staff members, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and leave applications.
* Managing WorkCover claims, including monitoring and reconciliation of payments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Generating weekly reports on centre hours for the director and operations manager.
* Conducting monthly and annual reconciliations of key payroll accounts, including superannuation, WorkCover, parental leave, and Single Touch Payroll requirements.
