Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HR Team Lead to lead our people function and support the ongoing success of our operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Lead is responsible for the end‑to‑end HR, employee and industrial relations function, while also leading recruitment and mobilisation activities across the business.
This role manages and supports a Recruiter and Mobilisation Coordinator and works closely with operational leaders in a practical, hands‑on capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all HR, employee and industrial relations activities across the business
* Provide advice and support on ER matters, performance management, investigations and disciplinary processes
* Interpret and apply awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation
* Support IR strategy, compliance and union engagement where required
* Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, workforce planning and mobilisation
* Lead, mentor and support the recruitment and mobilisation team
* Ensure onboarding, site mobilisation, tickets, licences and compliance requirements are met
* Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and systems
* Partner with leaders to build a positive, safety‑focused and high‑performing workforce
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
* Proven experience in HR and IR within engineering, construction, mining or a similar industrial environment
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments
* Demonstrated experience leading and developing team members
* Practical, solutions‑focused approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels
