About the Role
Starling Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Midwife for a temporary contract placement in Kingaroy, Queensland. This role involves delivering high-quality maternity care, supporting women and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care.
You will work collaboratively with the hospital's multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of midwifery services, while demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal midwifery care.
Conduct foetal surveillance and respond to obstetric emergencies as required.
Lead and participate in neonatal resuscitation when clinically indicated.
Work in collaboration with medical staff, allied health professionals, and nursing colleagues.
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Promote a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment for patients and their families.
Mandatory Skills Requirements
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
Competency in Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation, Foetal Surveillance Education, and Midwifery Practice.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compliance Documentation Requirements
Current resume.
2 professional referees (line managers within the last 12 months).
Current AHPRA registration (online check with current date).
Evidence of vaccination: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
Pertussis vaccination (within the last 10 years).
Current photo ID (certified).
Proof of work eligibility (if not an Australian citizen).
Evidence of current training in mandatory skills listed above.
NDIS clearance or Aged Care Check.
General Criminal History Check certificate (or signed statement confirming validity).
