Software Developers – Federal Government Contract
Location: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA
Clearance: Baseline clearance required
Citizenship: Australian Citizenship is mandatory
Contract Term: 12 months + 12-month extension option
We are seeking skilled and experienced Software Developers to join high-performing agile teams delivering critical digital and data services across government functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to complex enterprise-level applications in a secure and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API).
* Collaborate with stakeholders including product owners, analysts, designers, and testers to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
* Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
* Integrate applications with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure Government or AWS GovCloud).
* Contribute to code reviews, agile ceremonies, and architectural discussions.
* Write robust unit, integration, and automated tests.
* Ensure compliance with accessibility and cybersecurity standards.
* Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise .NET Framework and .NET Core development.
* Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API, and frontend technologies (React, NextJS).
* Strong experience with SQL Server or Oracle, including advanced SQL and stored procedure development.
* Practical experience in cloud services – preferably Azure Government or AWS GovCloud.
* Sound understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and development in agile teams.
Preferred Experience:
* Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
* Familiarity with automated testing tools such as NUnit, xUnit, or Selenium.
