Role PurposeThe Registered Midwife is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care within a designated unit, functioning within policies and procedures of the Department of Health, SESLHD, RHW, and the Nursing and Midwifery Division.
Clinical supervision at the point of care is a key responsibility, aligned with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council frameworks.
Additional InformationEmployment of temporary visa holders may occur only if no suitable Australian residents or citizens are available, following labour market testing.
All new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually unless medically contraindicated, in which case alternative infection control measures apply.
