This is a great opportunity for a young person interested in technology to gain hands-on experience in a school setting while making a meaningful contribution to the learning environment.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Assist in setting up and maintaining IT and AV equipment, including computers, projectors, printers, networking devices, and audio-visual systems. Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and AV system issues. Triage technical issues and escalate if necessary. Support teachers and students with technology-related questions. Help manage and maintain school-issued devices (e.g., laptops, tablets). Assist in updating technical procedures and create user guides. Support the tagging of IT assets and updating the IT asset database. Participate in IT-related projects, such as device rollouts and system updates. Ensure proper handling and security of IT assets. Other duties as assigned by the IT Team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Passion for technology and a willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software Familiarity with Operating systems (Windows OS, Chrome OS, Apple iOS) Basic understanding of networks (e.g., LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Responsible, reliable, and detail oriented. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Industry certifications preferred but not mandatory.
