Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for mechanical aspects of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Evaluate, select, and apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for project or assignment in support of global business unit or staff group.
* Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
* Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
* Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
This position offers an opportunity to work on complex projects, resolve technical issues, and ensure unique requirements of project's mechanical aspects are met. You will also have chance to provide guidance to other mechanical engineering personnel, provide technical assistance, and interact with project functions, customer, and regulatory agency personnel.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
* Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in discipline, as well as experience in Copper with slurry pumping and handling systems, and design and specification of bulk materials handling equipment and other mechanical equipment commonly used in mining and metals projects.
