I'm currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded commercial construction and property group to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, privately owned business with a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes across the commercial sector.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple business units, with exposure to project accounting, property, and corporate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing monthly bank and trust account reconciliations (including project and real estate trust accounts)
* Supporting month-end processes, including reporting and system reconciliations
* Assisting with BAS, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
* General ledger reviews and reconciliations
* Assisting with year-end processes and audit preparation
* Supporting accounts payable/receivable functions as required
* Processing payroll for ~70 staff, including compliance and reporting
* Maintaining key financial registers and assisting with finance administration
* Contributing to continuous improvement and audit processes
About You
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting or audit
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and taxation requirements
* Experience working with accounting/ERP systems
* Advanced Excel and strong reconciliation skills
* High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise across the business
