Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day HR function across the organisation.
About the Role
Our client is a well-established and values-driven organisation within the community services sector, supporting individuals and families across the Northern Rivers. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end HR services and help shape a positive, compliant and people-centred workplace.
This is a hands‐on generalist role with real impact — ideal for an HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, navigating IR/ER matters, and driving continuous improvement across people and culture.
* End-to-end HR generalist services
* Industrial and employee relations, including SCHADS Award interpretation and compliance
* Recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies
* Learning & development systems and initiatives
* Work Health & Safety and Return to Work programs
* Policy development and organisational compliance
* Workforce reporting and board-level reporting
* Supporting leaders with performance management, investigations and grievances
You'll also play a key role in strengthening organisational culture and identifying opportunities to enhance HR systems, processes and employee experience.
About You
You're a confident, empathetic and solutions-focused HR professional who thrives in purpose-driven environments. You bring:
* Previous experience working within the community services or care sector (such as aged care, disability, health or not-for-profit)
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, including IR/ER responsibilities
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and compliance frameworks
* Experience supporting leaders through complex people matters
* High emotional intelligence, integrity and discretion
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative leadership team
Experience working under the SCHADS Award will be highly regarded.
