Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.
Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

Costerfield Operation is seeking a skilled and experienced Supply Superintendent to join our Commercial team at our operation in Costerfield Victoria.
About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Superintendent, the Supply Superintendent is responsible for optimising the site supply, warehousing, and inventory functions to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations across the mine.
Key objectives:
* Leverage Group purchasing power by managing and negotiating supply contracts to maximise commercial advantage.
* Negotiate optimal commercial, pricing, and service arrangements with site suppliers.
* Optimise stock holdings by reviewing and maintaining appropriate min/max levels to ensure material availability while minimising working capital tied up in inventory.
* Review the effectiveness of existing systems and procedures (including Sage) and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure robust systems and procedures are in place for procurement, cataloguing, and inventory management.
* Establish and maintain a structured repairable spares programme.
* Conduct ongoing reviews of obsolete stock and lead inventory rationalisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimise the Costerfield Operation warehouse and supply function to improve operational efficiency and maximise value.
* Identify commercial and supply risks to the operation and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Support the Commercial Manager in meeting or exceeding site cost targets and commercial objectives.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, statutory regulations, and licence conditions, including reporting requirements.
* Support performance reporting through regular meetings, presentations, and written reports.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a supply or procurement professional across multiple functional areas.
* Strong leadership capability with experience leading teams to achieve high performance.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Previous experience using Sage or a comparable ERP system.
* Exposure to safety management systems.
* Experience with cost analysis, budget development, expenditure justification, and financial controls.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, service providers, peer managers, and the local community
