About the Role
As an Underground Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating loaders and tele-remote boggers to transport waste rock and ore within the underground mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bogging of development headings to stockpiles and haul trucks
* Conduct regular equipment inspections and report faults
* Perform road works and manage spillage and sump bogging
* Maintain high standards of work quality and safety compliance
* Identify and escalate opportunities for operational efficiency
* Demonstrate strong safety leadership and environmental awareness
You will report directly to the Mining Shift Supervisor and collaborate with key stakeholders including the Underground Mine Foreman, Superintendent, Technical Services, Surveyors, and Maintenance teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Minimum 3 years' underground mining experience
* At least 2 years' loader operator experience
* Strong knowledge of general mine services and safe working procedures
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Manual adeptness and mechanical aptitude
* Working knowledge of JSA systems
