This role is ideal for a passionate and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with the established menu, including catering to any special dietary requirements Ensure consistent portion sizes, presentation, and seasoning, following restaurant standards Maintain a clean and hygienic work area, adhering to food safety protocols at all times Complete daily mise en place for efficient service delivery Monitor and examine the quality of raw ingredients and ensure optimal storage conditions Regulate cooking temperatures and timings for ovens, stoves, and grills Implement HACCP practices, including the maintenance of records for food storage, cooking, cooling, and defrosting Prevent cross-contamination by properly storing and handling raw and cooked foods at the correct temperatures Maintain and sharpen knives and kitchen tools safely and regularly Clean equipment and preparation areas after use, maintaining readiness for ongoing kitchen operations Assist with stock inventory, ordering, and management of raw materials Support training and mentoring of junior staff to maintain consistency across dishes and service Skills and Attributes Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (required) Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar kitchen environment Strong understanding of OH&S and Food Safety regulations Enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work independently or within a team Positive and approachable demeanour Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends, split shifts, and public holidays How to ApplyIf you are a committed culinary professional with a passion for delivering high-quality food in a thriving kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
