About the Company
A rapidly growing, forward-thinking engineering services firm in Townsville, delivering diverse projects across mining, ports, asset management, road infrastructure, and heavy industry. This agile SME partners with multinational companies and owner-operators, working on greenfield and brownfield projects, including freight inspections and infrastructure upgrades.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:
o Lead a team and manage projects ranging from $5K–$400K
o Oversee mechanical analysis, design, and certification of heavy machinery, cranes, concrete pumps, mine conveyor belts, lifting frames, emulsion plants and more
o Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments
o Ensure project feasibility, mechanical integrity, and safety compliance
o Collaborate with architects, contractors, and industry professionals
o Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements
What You’ll Need
o Minimum of 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineer and be both design and site oriented
o RPEQ and CPEng certifications
o Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SpaceGass, AutoPipe, Bluebeam, Strand7
o Strong Structural Engineering knowledge
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
o Full working rights in Australia
o Based in Townsville or open to relocation
