**Position Information**:
Nulkaba Public School has a current enrolment of 417, comprising of 17 mainstream classes and 3 support unit classes. 14% of the student population is Aboriginal.
The school is located in th village of Nulkaba on the outskirts of Cessnock. The school is an active and proud member of the Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools, delivering excellence in student education, wellbeing and innovation in our teaching and learning practices, implementing programs such as PAX, Heggarty's and Science of Reading.
At Nulkaba Public School we aim to develop future focussed learners academically, culturally and socially by providing quality initiatives in Literacy, Numeracy, technology and wellbeing.
Nulkaba Public School has a very strong relationship with its community, reflected in an extraordinary support of all school events by parents and friends and active and engaged P & C.
The school has a partnership agreement with the Korreil Wonnai AECG working collaboratively to provide cultural programs supportive of all Aboriginal students focusing on wellbeing, attendance, and educational outcomes.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
Visionary leader with well evidenced results that is reflective of current and emerging trends that has led to whole school change and/or innovation impacting on student learning and outcomes.
Exemplary capacity in authentic and collaborative relationships with staff, students and community which enhance the school's vision and values.
Demonstrated leadership to build upon cultural sensitivity through existing Aboriginal programs that promote increased outcomes for our students.
Capacity to balance exemplary classroom teaching practice with the complexities of a K-6 leadership role, including demonstrated ability to inspire, build capacity, manage performance and lead stage teams.
Proven knowledge, skills and ability to embrace inclusion and help build a culture of high expectations that reflects the rich and diverse wider school community.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
