Belmont Hospital Surgical Unit (Ward 1FNB)
Ward 1FNB is a 24-bed, fast-paced General Surgical Unit delivering high-quality inpatient care across a range of specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, and Orthopaedics. No two days are the same—our ward is dynamic, supportive, and proudly driven by teamwork.
Our nurses work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, ensuring compassionate, safe, and evidence-based care from admission through to discharge. Clinical leaders and education staff are actively involved in supporting your learning, confidence, and career development.
What you'll be doing
* Administering medications with accuracy and best-practice standards
* Delivering safe, thoughtful, and evidence-based nursing care
* Providing or assisting with personal care
* Working with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to develop tailored care plans and coordinate safe discharge processes
What we're looking for
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
* Surgical nursing experience (desirable), especially in wound care, drain management, and patient education
