Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Dietitian who is ready for a new adventure as the Senior Dietitian – Renal Service based at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
About The Role
The Senior Renal Dietitian Level 4 is a key member of the MLHD Renal Service, responsible for providing evidence based clinical Dietetics services to inpatient and outpatient clients across MLHD, as per service direction / guidelines. The position works closely with Dietitians across the LHD, as part of the Dietitian team and network, providing leadership, support and supervision to peers and junior staff.
As the Senior Dietitian – Renal Service, you will be responsible for:
* Clinical Practice: Deliver high-quality, complex dietetic services across MLHD including outreach and telehealth, using advanced clinical reasoning and autonomous professional judgement.
* Renal Nutrition Expertise: Serve as the primary renal nutrition consultant, providing specialist advice to clinicians across MLHD to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient‐centred care.
* Supervision & Education: Supervise and support Dietitian Levels 1–3, allied health assistants and students, contributing to district‐wide learning and development.
* Quality & Research: Lead quality improvement initiatives, participate in clinical research, and deliver in‐service education to meet evolving health needs.
* Leadership & Culture: Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution, with a commitment to improving Aboriginal health outcomes.
* Planning & Reporting: Prioritise caseloads and lead service planning, evaluation and reporting in line with KPIs and MLHD directives.

About You
* Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics with current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status and eligibility for Dietitians Australia membership.
* Advanced clinical skills and experience in evidence‐based dietetic practice, with specialist expertise in renal nutrition.
* Proven leadership and supervisory experience within multidisciplinary team settings, supporting staff and students across local and district levels.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, research and service development initiatives.
