Lead CSSD Department
Your role involves providing leadership and direction for the overall coordination and management of the Central Sterile Supply Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving best practice outcomes from both a customer and business perspective while promoting quality improvement initiatives.
This will be achieved through visible, effective leadership of the service, team development, prudent resource utilization, and relationship building with key stakeholders.
Maintain Quality Standards
The position maintains responsibility for maintaining high standards and quality of practice within the department.
Ensures all activities comply with relevant Australian Standards and recommendations of professional bodies as appropriate.
Identifies strategies to improve efficiency and quality of service.
Develops and maintains excellent standards of care through ongoing evaluation and promotion of quality improvement initiatives.
Foster Clinical Team Culture
Fosters a clinical team culture of interdisciplinary collaboration leading to improved service delivery.
Provides leadership through effective communication, interpersonal capabilities, and change management.
Establishes and builds mutually beneficial relationships to enhance patient care and business outcomes.
Recommends and implements new initiatives to support business development.
You will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or an approved certificate in Sterilisation Technology.
Recent relevant leadership/management experience in a CSSD is essential.
An understanding and commitment to quality improvement are also required.
