Are you motivated, hands-on, and ready to build a career in the construction industry? Master Builders Tasmania is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Junior Carpentry Apprentice. Certificate 2 in construction an advantage. Is a junior position.
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age with a maximum age limit of 21 years.
This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and work toward your Certificate III in Carpentry with experienced tradespeople supporting you every step of the way.
What You'll Learn and Do:
* Read and interpret building plans and specifications
* Measure, cut, and assemble building materials
* Assist qualified carpenters on construction sites
* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
What You'll Need:
* Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent)
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Basic computer literacy
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport a must
* Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg
* Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather
* Good hand-eye coordination and a strong work ethic
* Must be an Australian citizen
* Minimum age requirement of 17 years
* Some construction experience is preferred, though complete beginners will be considered
