Job Description
* Maintain the general ledger for assigned funds, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP)
* Calculate Net Asset Value (NAV) and ensure timely and accurate investor reporting
* Perform portfolio valuations, including review of pricing and investment positions
* Reconcile cash, investments, and capital activity (subscriptions, redemptions, distributions)
* Liaise with external stakeholders including fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and tax advisors
* Support the audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation and responding to auditor queries
* Monitor compliance with fund mandates, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
* Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
* Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
* Mandatory: Prior experience in fund accounting (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, real estate, or managed funds)
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
* CA / CPA qualification (or working towards) preferred
* Strong understanding of fund structures, capital flows, and investment instruments
* Experience preparing NAV calculations and investor reporting
* Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, Yardi, Geneva, or similar) highly regarded
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
