About the role
Design Workshop Australia is seeking a highly motivated Architect to join our team in Wollongong. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the delivery of a large mixed-use commercial, retail and residential apartment and urban design projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, creative environment on large scale projects. Previous applicants need not apply.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of architectural documentation including Concept Design, Development Application for NSW State Development Applications, Council DA Applications using REVIT
* Assist in preparation of Construction, Detail and IFC Documentation using REVIT
* Understanding and knowledge of local authority codes (DCP and LEP), SSDA Requirements, NCC, Australian Standards, ADG and Housing SEPP Requirements
* Knowledge of Building Practitioners Act Requirements
* Multi-Disciplinary Consultant coordination and liaison
* Assist in preparation of architectural documentation to varying levels of completion i.e. Feasibility, Development Application, SSDA, CDC, Construction Certificate and IFC Documentation
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with client, council and contractors
* Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines
* Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of projects
* Someone well organised and motivated, with an eye for detail and the capacity to work on multiple projects.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Architecture from an Australian University or equivalent
* Revit Experience Essential
* Proven ability to produce Development Application Documentation with REVIT
* Proven ability to produce IFC Documentation with REVIT
* Microsoft Office Essential
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability to work independently or within a team environment
* Strong work ethic and enthusiasm
