Overview of the role
We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide clinical support to the team at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for clinical care and case management. Supervision, direction and leadership of nursing and care / support staff will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Take immediate action to ensure nursing care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, while providing direction to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers
- Complete assessment and / or admission requirements
- Maintain an effective referral system to senior nursing staff, medical staff and / or allied health staff
- Ensure that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
- Provide mentoring and training to employees where required

About You
- Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant clinical experience in an aged care environment is an advantage, but is not essential
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently use clinical information systems
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)
