Reporting to the Group Manager, HSE, and based in Brisbane, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our 1,000-strong workforce across head office, regional, and operational sites with all medical-related matters.
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in a similar position focused on health and well-being, combined with strong admin and organisational skills and an aptitude for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

Primary Duties:
Pre-Employment & Medical Coordination:
Coordinate all pre-employment, periodic, and pre-mobilisation medicals in compliance with statutory and internal requirements. Maintain relationships with medical advisors and maintain the health database.
Injury Management & Rehabilitation:
Coordinate workplace rehabilitation programs to ensure timely and effective return to work. Assist sites in managing injuries and complex claims while participating in assurance and audit activities.
Occupational Health & Hygiene Oversight:
Maintain compliance with occupational hygiene laws, including dust, noise, and fatigue management. Provide advice to mitigate health and hygiene risks.
Psychosocial Safety & Mental Well-Being:
Support and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health and wellbeing across the workforce. Maintain psychosocial safety processes.
Training & Advice:
Assist in delivering health-related training, provide advice to stakeholders, and support site HSE Advisors with health responsibilities.
Data & Reporting:
Regularly report on medical outcomes, injury management, occupational hygiene, and health initiatives while staying updated on legislative changes.
Who are you?
Tertiary qualifications in industrial hygiene or a health and safety-related discipline.
Experience in a similar role within mining, industrial, or heavy industry sectors is essential.
A solid understanding of occupational rehabilitation principles, local legislation, and injury management practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels.
Skilled in creating accurate reports, with solid attention to detail.
Flexibility to undertake ad-hoc travel as required.
