Full-time, ongoing role working with a well-known Not-for-Profit organisation.

**Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to**:
Maintain ongoing relations with key contacts and build positive and effective relationships with Federal politicians, advisers, key ministerial staff, parties and departments to influence health policy
Assist with identifying and creating opportunities that promote the strengths of the organisation at a Federal and in some instances at the State political level
Play a key role in the execution of political plans, grassroots campaigns, and other activities
Prepare political briefings, reports and presentations for Committees, National Council and as required by the organisation Branches and members
Draft regular communications for politicians and key staff to inform on activities
Maintain the political database and electoral profiles
Act as a liaison at political events, party conferences and forums
Integrate a government relations lens to responses to major reviews, submissions or initiatives
Work closely on initiatives including broader communication strategies
Attend and present at Conferences where required
Providing political advice where required to National Committees
Other duties as required
**Role Specific Capabilities**
The following work experience and knowledge is required:
Previous experience in a government relations, policy, or regulatory affairs role
A robust knowledge of the mechanics of Federal and State politics
High level stakeholder engagement experience
Experience of working in the health care sector or a membership organisation (desirable)
