Job Title: Fleet Operations Planner
The Fleet Operations Planner is responsible for planning and managing the daily activities of a fleet within the scope of responsibility, ensuring effective utilization of resources and meeting customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate the timely delivery of freight to ensure on-time and cost-effective transportation solutions
* Book additional ad-hoc transport as required, while maintaining optimal vehicle utilization and minimizing costs
* Ensure dispatching depots are provided with accurate manifests and necessary paperwork in a timely manner
* Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure efficient loading of vehicles and minimize downtime
* Identify and report incidents, hazards, and non-compliances, implementing corrective actions promptly
* Investigate and resolve service and operational issues efficiently, minimizing disruptions to the supply chain
* Ensure all processes are compliant with regulatory requirements, including driver fatigue and load restraint regulations
* Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and availability
Requirements:
* Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications and ability to learn new systems quickly
* Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills
* Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and escalate as required, while maintaining a proactive approach
* A good understanding of road networks and major routes across South Australia is highly desirable
Key Qualifications:
