This is a role combining bookkeeping and payroll along with hands-on recruitment support, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being at the heart of a fast-paced recruitment business.
Based in our head office located in Thebarton, you will work closely with our Finance & Payroll Officer and Recruitment Consultants, supporting both the financial operations of the business and the onboarding and mobilisation of our workforce across Australia.

About the Role
This role is a key support function across both Finance and Recruitment Operations. No two days will be the same. One day you will be assisting with payroll and reconciling accounts, the next you will be assisting consultants with candidate onboarding and mobilisation.
This role will see you supported to grow, learn, and develop with genuine long-term career pathways available.
Key Responsibilities
Finance, Payroll & Administration
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Running weekly payroll integrations from Astute into Xero
* Lodging STP filings
* Working with finance and our third party payroll provider to set up payroll interpreters for various clients and awards to ensure accurate timesheet interpretation
* Running weekly payroll, preparing bank files and payroll reports
* Preparing client invoices and uploading for financing
* Reviewing payroll creditors
* Preparing and submitting superannuation payments
* Supporting system improvements and process enhancements
Recruitment Support, Onboarding & Mobilisation
* Assisting Recruitment Consultants with candidate onboarding and mobilisation
* Preparing employment paperwork, contracts, and compliance documentation
* Coordinating pre-employment checks (tickets, licences, medicals, inductions, etc.)
* Supporting candidate compliance and data entry within recruitment systems
* Liaising with candidates, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth starts
* Maintaining accurate records across payroll and recruitment systems

Desired Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience (or strong exposure) inpayroll or administration
* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll (preferred)
* Exposure to Xero and/or Astute Payroll highly regarded
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle priorities
* Candidates currently studying or looking to further their studies in finance or accounting are strongly encouraged to apply
