Job Description
OSHC service, Helping Hands Baringa, is looking for a dedicated Educator to join our team in delivering fun and engaging programs for primary school children. This permanent part-time role guarantees a minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities for extra hours during the school holidays.
About the Role
Working alongside a supportive team, you'll help create a welcoming and enriching environment for children aged 5-12 years old. Your role will include:
* Facilitating exciting, child-led activities, including STEM, sports, cooking, arts & crafts – whatever you and the kids love!
* Building strong relationships with children, families, and the school community
* Collaborating with a team of skilled Educators to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging program
You'll work split shifts Monday – Friday across the service's opening hours of:
* Morning: 6:30am – 9:00am (Rise then Shine Program)
* Afternoon: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program)
* School Holidays: 6:00am – 6:00pm (Holiday HQ Program)
Who We're Looking For
No formal experience? No problem! We'll provide all the training you need. We're looking for someone who:
* Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
* Communicates clearly and confidently
* Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
* Must have obtained or are studying towards a relevant Diploma level qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
* Has Australian work rights
