ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a 1st Year Boilermaker Apprentice to join an experienced team and begin working toward a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM31922).
This is a full-time apprenticeship that includes hands-on fabrication work, travel to various job sites, and opportunities for overtime. You'll gain real-world experience in heavy industry settings, including meatworks and brewerys.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting with the fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal structures
• Using hand and power tools in a workshop and onsite setting
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Working in industrial environments, including hot, dirty, and confined spaces
• Travelling to job sites and occasionally working away from home
• Adhering to safety standards and procedures
• Supporting experienced boilermakers and tradespeople on the job
• Performing general workshop duties as required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
• A strong interest in metal fabrication and engineering
• Willingness to work hard and get your hands dirty
• Reliable and eager to learn from experienced tradespeople
• A current driver's licence and own reliable transport
• A valid White Card (Construction Induction Certificate)
• Physically fit and able to work in hot and heavy environments
• Comfortable with travel and working away from home when required
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm, with regular overtime and travel required
