The Role

Area Manager - Lead Multi-Site Retail Operations with Purpose | Adelaide - SA 12-Month Contract | Permanent Residents Only This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role overseeing a portfolio of retail pharmacy stores. As Area Manager, you'll partner with Store Managers and Pharmacists to drive sales, operational excellence, and customer-first service across multiple locations. With a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, this role will see you making a meaningful impact across the network while developing the next generation of store leaders. Lead and support a diverse group of stores across Adelaide and surrounding areas Drive performance through coaching, KPI management, and team development Oversee operations including rostering, merchandising, stock, and compliance Enjoy a varied role with some travel, supported by a strong National Office team Our Client

As Area Manager, you'll combine commercial acumen with strong people leadership. You'll ensure stores operate to best practice standards while empowering managers and their teams to perform at their best. Drive sales, profitability, and KPI achievement across 16 stores Manage wage budgets, expenses, and rosters to maintain efficiency Support merchandising, promotions, and marketing initiatives to engage customers Oversee inventory management and ensure stock control best practices Lead business reviews, develop action plans, and implement improvements Coach, mentor, and build capability within Store and Pharmacist Managers Ensure compliance with WHS, employment legislation, and internal policies Regularly travel between stores, with occasional regional visits The Ideal Candidate

You are a motivated and adaptable retail leader who thrives in a multi-site role. You bring a balance of commercial focus and people-first leadership, with the ability to coach, influence, and inspire diverse teams. You enjoy variety, problem-solving, and delivering results while supporting your people to succeed. What You'll Bring

Experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, or Senior Multi-Site Leader Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams Strong understanding of financial and operational management in retail Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to customer-first service Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly within your region Pharmacy or healthcare retail experience (highly regarded) What\'s In It For You?
