About the role
International Education Services (IES) is a directorate within Strategy and Performance division of the Department for Education with responsibility for delivering the State's international student program in government schools. Operating as a self-funded business unit, IES must comply with Federal and State legislative, regulatory and policy requirements, whilst competing in the highly competitive international education market and sustaining revenue targets. IES manages the business development; program and financial management; marketing; homestay, school and agent recruitment, accreditation, training and support; student wellbeing and support services.
The Executive Officer coordinates a range of specialised administrative functions within the IES directorate to support its operational objectives and goals, and is responsible for delivering high level, confidential secretarial and administrative support services to the Director, International Education.

Qualifications
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Knowledge of Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act including the Department for Education objectives and programs and office procedures and protocols.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO4 $76,561 - $80,256 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
