TheOpportunity
We are lookingfor a motivated Business Support Officer to join our Infrastructureand Strategic Projects Team in Kununurra to provide an extensiverange of high quality, customer focused, efficient administrativeand support services. The role will also assist the Operations Teamwithin the Directorate from time to time as requested. Yourresponsibilities will include:
* Management,coordination, preparation and quality of all incoming andoutgoing communications and correspondence including managementof the department inboxes
* Coordination of diaryand email management including record keeping
* Maintaining theInfrastructure elements of the Shire's external web siteand internal intranet
* Facilitate arrangementof regular meetings within the directorate and ad-hoc meetingsas required, including maintenance of relevant actionregisters
* Developing, implementingand maintaining the Directorate team processes and proceduresas required
* Provision ofadministrative support for the purpose of managing theDirectorate's compliance functions, including monitoringwork flows, statutory and management reportingrequirements
* Processing of invoices,including coordination of the Director's monthly creditcard expenses, Regional Road Group, Blackspot, Roads toRecovery and other similar processes
* Assisting with frontline customer enquiries (counter and telephone) for theDirectorate including the dissemination of relevantinformation
* Maintaining departmentregisters, Synergy modules and assistance with the review ofPolices and Organisational Directives as required
* Assisting in thepreparation of information to incorporate into annual reports,monthly Council Reports and other reports asrequired
* Assisting with licencingand reporting requirements as well as the continuousdevelopment of the Shire' Fleet Managementsystem
* Assisting compliancerelating to Shire Cemetery processes
Relevant qualifications inBusiness Administration, current National Police Clearance (withinthe last 6 months), and current unrestricted WA Driver'sLicence are essential for this role.
It is desirable if you haveany working knowledge of matters dealt with by Local Government,experience in the development and implementation of policies,organisational directives and work instructions, and knowledge orexperience using IT Vision Synergy Soft.
