Primary Learning Support Teacher Assistant

Faith Lutheran College Redlands is seeking a teacher aide to work in our primary Learning Support team in a fulltime role commencing Term 1/2026. This position involves the direct support of students from Prep to Year 6.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team with teachers, administrators and special advisors to support students with additional needs
* Work with small groups as well as individual students
* Support and encourage students to develop independence
* Perform playground duties throughout the school day
* Implement the Maclit and Minilit program with small groups of students
* Assess student competencies
* Maintain anecdotal records
* Prepare and maintain equipment and materials
* Liaise with and disseminate information about students' progress and needs to classroom teachers and Learning Support staff.
* All other duties as directed by Learning Support department.
Skills and Abilities
* Experience and training in the Multilit programs is highly sought after
* Demonstrate patience and a caring attitude
* Communicate effectively and display a high level of interpersonal skills and work as a team member
* Demonstrate flexibility and initiative

* Display empathy for the needs and abilities of students
* Demonstrate confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and parents

Education and Experience
* Certificate III in Education Support is desirable
* Multilit training is desirable.
Certificates, Licences, Registrations
* Current Blue Card is required
* First Aid Certificate is desirable
