The Position
The Engagement Coordinator (Student Recruitment) plays a vital role in supporting The Australian National University's strategic enrolment goals across domestic and international markets. As a key member of the Student Recruitment College Liaison Office, the position strengthens the link between central recruitment teams and academic Colleges by providing accurate program information, coordinating targeted outreach initiatives, and managing relationships with prospective students and partners.
In this dynamic role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of College specific recruitment plans, provide evidence‐based insights to inform marketing and outreach strategies, and engage with prospective students, schools, teachers, careers advisers, education agents, and government and industry stakeholders. Travel and work outside standard operating hours will be required.
The Person
We are seeking a proactive, collaborative and well‐organised professional who thrives in a relationship‐focused environment. You will bring experience in student recruitment, communications, customer service, data analysis or a related field, supported by excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Your strong stakeholder engagement capabilities will enable you to work confidently with prospective students, senior staff, teachers, advisers and a wide range of external partners. You will also draw on your knowledge of domestic and international student recruitment markets, trends and data sources, along with an understanding of compliance requirements across the education sector.
You will bring practical experience in event planning, project coordination and managing competing deadlines, balancing independence with effective teamwork in a fast‐paced environment. A willingness to travel and work outside regular business hours is essential, and a valid driver's licence is highly regarded.
