About The Department & Team
Alfred Care Group hosts a large elective and emergency surgical program comprising multiple units, including Acute General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology Head and Neck, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Vascular and Radiology, as well as statewide services: Major Trauma Service, Victorian Adult Burns Service, and Bariatric Services.
The Pharmacy Department works closely with patients, families, and other health services to provide high‐level pharmaceutical care. Priorities are to provide medication safety information, cost‐effective medication use, and specialised pharmacy expertise throughout patient recovery or treatment. Pharmacists are essential members of all clinical teams, engaging in ward rounds and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient care outcomes. Opportunities exist for advanced scopes of practice.
About The Role
As Senior Pharmacist – Surgical Services, you will be responsible for the day‐to‐day delivery of clinical pharmacy services to a portfolio of surgical units across Alfred Care Group. The position will also oversee the supervision and development of clinical pharmacists within these services. You will collaborate with Lead and Senior Pharmacists in Surgical Services and other specialties to develop clinical services for all surgical patients.

Qualifications & Experience Required
* Registered pharmacist in Australia
* Relevant post‐graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent (highly desirable)
* Extensive hospital pharmacy experience with contemporary practice understanding
* Experience leading and coaching a highly effective team
