Our services include the design and construction of Shipping Container Homes, Shipping Container Modifications for residential and commercial use, and Shipping Container DIY Options for customers seeking custom-fabricated solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our team and support our growing shipping container fabrication and construction projects.
KEY TASKS
● Perform precision welding on shipping containers to create and modify structural
openings, frames, and reinforcements while maintaining structural integrity.
● Weld mild and structural steel using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques in
accordance with drawings and specifications.
● Read and interpret fabrication drawings and measurements to accurately complete
welding tasks.
● Measure, cut, prepare, and fit steel components prior to welding.
● Install structural steel components including frames, bracing, stair supports, and custom
fittings.
● Inspect welds for strength, accuracy, and finish, rectifying defects to meet quality and
Australian standards.
● Carry out repairs, reinforcements, and modifications on existing containers.
● Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment, perform basic maintenance, and
report faults.
● Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and use PPE correctly.
● Work collaboratively with fabrication and construction teams to support project delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
● At least 1 year of full-time work experience as Welder or similar role.
● At least an AQF Certificate III in Engineering or a higher relevant qualification.
● Proficient in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques using a range of welding equipment
and procedures on mild steel and structural steel.
● Experience installing welded components including frames, bracing, and custom steel
fittings.
● Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and
related technical documents.
● Experienced in using welding machines and fabrication equipment.
● Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
