 
        
        Job Title: Pathology Aid
As a pathology courier, you will play a crucial part in providing quality health services to communities by picking up and transporting pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products, X-rays, and vaccines from various locations such as medical centres, collection centres, nursing homes, hospitals, and veterinarian surgeries for delivery to laboratories.
Your Key Responsibilities:
 * Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products, X-rays, and vaccines to and from referring customers.
 * Liaising between referring medical practitioners and the medical liaison officer regarding store orders.
 * Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in the main laboratory.
 * Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity.
 * Following operating procedure to complete correct specimen coding documentation.
 * Compliance with policies and procedures, work health and safety procedures, and quality assurance processes.
About This Role
 * A valid open Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record is required.
 * You will need to be able to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays.
 * Great interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders and strong written communication skills are essential.
 * Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day, are necessary.
 * The ability to physically handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg-15kg is required.
 * You must be able to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.
 * Previous courier experience is highly advantageous.
 * A Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one is necessary.
 * You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
