Job Title: Senior Legal Secretary
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to manage practice administration, including diary management, client files, and document control.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all incoming correspondence and emails, liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and medical professionals, and preparing court documents and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage practice administration, including diary management, client files, and document control.
* Handle all incoming correspondence and emails, ensuring prompt filing, distribution, and follow-up.
* Liaise with clients, barristers, courts, and medical professionals to coordinate information and schedule hearings, conferences, and mediations.
* Prepare court documents, briefs, bundles, and settlement papers for District, Supreme, and Federal Court matters.
* Draft and issue correspondence, pleadings, and precedent documents as required.
* Support billing processes by preparing invoices and trust account documentation.
* Monitor file progress, track deadlines, and ensure matters are closed and archived appropriately.
Requirements
* 3+ years' experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally in Personal Injury Law.
* Familiarity with Worker's Compensation, Public Liability, Motor Vehicle Accident, TPD, and/or Common Law claims processes would be highly regarded.
* Experience working on Plaintiff side matters.
* A high level of attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
