Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Speech Pathology Continuing | Part-Time 0.5 FTE Academic Level A or B | $88,842 - $133,974 p.a. pro rata Location: Renmark, Mt.Gambier or Port Pirie View Position Description – Associate Lecturer View Position Description - Lecturer About the Role/s We are seeking either an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer – Teaching Specialist (Clinical/Practitioner), who will create, coordinate and conduct inspiring teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience, with a focus on speech pathology topics, across all levels and modes, of the College. The Associate Lecturer will assist in the development of topic and course materials with appropriate guidance from Course Coordinators and/or Senior Academic Staff. The Lecturer will undertake the role of Topic Coordinator as required. The role will also be responsible for: Providing support, academic counselling and professional advice to students concerning their studies, professional development and career opportunities. Make effective use of innovations and technologies in teaching practice. Provide informal day-to-day feedback to academic teaching staff according to the University’s policies, practices and standards. Please note, the role requires teaching at one of our rural Bachelor of Allied Health locations—Mt Gambier, Renmark, or Port Pirie—and collaborating with teams at these sites and the Bedford Park campus. About You Associate Lecturer You are a qualified Speech Pathologist with the successful completion of four years of tertiary study or equivalent training and experience. You maintain current membership with Speech Pathology Australia and bring contemporary clinical expertise that you actively engage in alongside your academic role. With proven experience teaching at the tertiary level within the discipline, along with a strong record of preparing and delivering high-quality curriculum. Your background includes effective student assessment and a solid understanding of curriculum review processes, as well as participation in both internal and external accreditation activities. You demonstrate a commitment to innovative, evidence-based teaching practices and confidently incorporate new technologies to enhance learning. Overall, you are an adaptable, reflective educator and clinician who contributes positively to student outcomes, curriculum quality, and the ongoing advancement of Speech Pathology education. Lecturer You are an experienced speech pathology professional with a doctoral qualification or equivalent clinical expertise and professional standing in the field and hold and maintain unconditional registration as a speech pathologist. With a deep understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline, your track record demonstrates excellence in tertiary teaching, including the use of simulation, clinical education, and coordination of student placements. You contribute independently to the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies in both classroom and clinical settings, supported by effective and fair assessment practices. You engage in reflective practice to continually enhance your teaching and clinical approach and understand the critical connection between teaching, learning, research, scholarship, and professional practice.
