About The Diesel Fitter Role
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team in Tasmania. Based in Bell Bay, this role primarily involves maintaining and repairing modern Trucks/Trailers, Heavy Forklifts/Reach Stackers, and bulk materials handling equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and repair fleet vehicles and heavy machinery as scheduled.
2. Perform inspections and record maintenance activities.
3. Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly and perform necessary repairs.
4. Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators to ensure smooth operations.
5. Order parts from approved suppliers and maintain company vehicles.
6. Adhere to maintenance schedules and operating manuals.
Requirements And Qualifications
1. Diesel Fitting Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience working with heavy-duty diesel equipment and machinery.
3. Familiarity with transport and equipment operations in a heavy industry setting.
